About Us
Arcana Obscura is a library and research facility, dedicated to finding people and objects that exist on the fringes of society. Using both books and artifacts, the staff of the library are dedicated to helping those who need it.The collection includes a wide variety of tomes, from mundane topics such as cooking and herbology, to specific magical practices, and even magical books that may have other properties.
RULES
The library is an immersive, 18+ RP environment. No ERP will be allowed on the premises. Adult themes, such as violence and discussions of sex and sexuality may be present. If you feel a need to explore darker themes than that, please keep it to a party chat or tells.We do have a way to share codes. No nudity is allowed in the venue, and please keep outfits tasteful.If you agree, please click next to find the magic shell.
Anyone who breaks the rules will recieve a single warning, after which they will be removed from the venue and shell

Our Staff
Arcana Obscura is divided into two departments. The collection of books itself, headed by Artoria Enya, and Artifact Research and Acquisition, headed by Emma Anaximander.

FC Application
If you're interested in joining the FC, there is no formal application. We ask that you come RP with us in the library on venue nights a couple times, or that you come relax and write with us in our off hours. People can often be found, or asked to RP for simple scenes.
Some qualities we're looking for:
Ability to be flexible in storytelling
Lore-bending, and not lore-breaking stories
Lore bending is finding ways to explain abilities and plot beats in ways that may fit within the estabilished fiction.Lore Breaking is outright ignoring the game world and fiction to write something new or contradictory into it.
Creativity in the space
The Library doesn't always have an ongoing storyline. We're looking for people willing to participate in other's character stories, or write their own. While I want to make sure that people are having a good time, ultimately you are responsible for your own enjoyment.
Participation in the community as a whole
If you wish to join the FC, you do not have to do so In-game. There are a variety of reasons why one might not be able to. We have a CWLS that is shared with the community, and a private FC only Discord Channel that you would have access to. But the libraries community is there on the Discord, and we may be less willing to invite you if you are not willing to participate
If this seems like something you'd like to join, or have any questions, please talk to Artoria in our Discord or message Artoria Enya in game.You do not need to be a part of the FC to be involved in the community, and you do not need to be on Mateus to be considered a part of the FC, nor do you need to 'work' on the nights our venue is open, though you are welcome to.
Arcana Obscura is a fun place to write stories, and not a place I wish for you to feel obligation to.

| Aethersight Spectacles | Grants aethersight. Lasts for 6 hours a day once activated, and can be deactivated at any time. Lenses burn out after a combined 24 hours of use. | 75k |
| Aethersight Monocle | Same as the above, only lasts 3 hours a day and for 12 hours of total use. Definitely isn't just one half of a broken pair of spectacles. | 40k |
